Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care for infants and preschool-aged children in a safe classroom environment
- Implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support early childhood development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and respond to the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and parents regarding daily activities and child progress
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations, safety protocols, and center policies
- Step in seamlessly as a substitute to maintain classroom routine and consistency for children
Requirements:
- 12 Early Childhood Education units with 3 infant units
- Previous experience in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of infant and preschool developmental milestones
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must pass a background check and meet California childcare licensing requirements
- Reliable, flexible, and able to step in on short notice as needed
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
